nothin' much, you?
Fritz Grobe (via wasita)

If you think your ability comes from an innate talent, when you face an obstacle, you’re more likely to give up. But if you think your ability comes from hard work, you’re more likely to dig into it and overcome it.

Malcolm Gladwell popularized the idea of 10,000—the idea that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something. It’s going to take 10,000 hours to become world-class. It’ll take a few years but you can do that. It’s just like water wearing away the Grand Canyon… It just takes time.

What so many people don’t realize is that you need the drive, the training, and the 10,000 hours. You don’t need to be a genius. You don’t need some sort of magical talent. You need to get up in the morning—every morning—, and take one more step towards that ultimate goal of being great at what you do.
